Blog #3
For Blog #3, I decided to revisit my old roots: Myspace. I decided to check out Myspace for the first time in YEARS because I saw The Social Network last night and I literally haven't thought about it in ages because Facebook has been more popular for so many years now. When the Myspace homepage loaded, it was really different than how I remembered it. It's funny to think about how many hours I spent on Myspace and how I don't even remember it now that I've moved onto something "bigger and better". I spent a few minutes browsing individual Myspace pages, and realized how much I DON'T miss anything about the site. I was instantly brought back to the abundance of trashy self portraits (sorry to anyone that still uses this site) and ~*~*~tYpiNg tHat LoOkS LiKe tHiS~*~*~ which I absolutely cannot stand. For some reason, I now associate Myspace with a lack of security and online predators that are just waiting to snatch up little girls. Since I thought Myspace was the coolest thing ever created, it's interesting to think about the next thing that will come along and probably leave Facebook in the dust. I guess we'll have to stick around and see!
