Blog #4: Google

I was surprised to find that when I googled myself, the first link to come up was to my twitter account. I'm not an avid user of twitter so I thought for sure my Facebook page would come up before my twitter page. Its bizarre that not only does a link to my twitter profile come up, but in the links you can read specific posts that I've written. Another link that came up that I found particularly interesting was an account page for social.implu.com. This is not a website i have ever signed up for but it appears to be linked to twitter somehow. Other links that appeared included my LinkedIn page, my Facebook page, Facebook group pages that I am a part of and several articles I was featured in local school newspapers or ones I have written for the daily cardinal. I wasn't too surprised about anything that appeared; however, I find it interesting that this much information is available online simply by typing my name into google.
