Google Yourself

When I type Allison Hahn into Google the first result (and many throughout the pages) is for a psychologist with the same name. The second link was to LinkedIn showing the 19 people named Allison Hahn, which I am one of. There is also a link to my Facebook, but without being my friend you can't view my entire profile. Also on the first page of links there is a MySpace link, Flickr, and a school lacrosse team, none of which are me. The second page is very similar to the first, but it now includes my Twitter page. Some new links on pages further along are for an author named Celia Allison Hahn. The only picture of me on the images tab is my Twitter picture. A lot of the pictures looked like sport pictures and school pictures, and I assume those are from lacrosse Allison Hahn and others like her. On the video tab there is a musician named Bernard Allison who played at Cafe Hahn, so he takes up the majority of the links. I also clicked on the obituary link at the bottom, which I do not recommend doing. Although they clearly are not for me, it is creepy seeing your name in that context.
I did not find anything unexpected on Google, and I am not surprised about what is there. I know by having a Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn profile that I would be more searchable on the internet. My recent profiles I have started for class on Bebo and 43Things do not show up on Google. Maybe this is because I do not have a large presence on them yet or because they are not as well known or searched websites like Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter.
