Google Yourself

Like Erica, I will admit that I have Googled myself prior to this assignment. The first thing that came up was a link to my Twitter page. When I clicked on it, my profile came up, but luckily I have my Tweets protected so no one from the public can see anything I post. Although I don't really post any personal information, it kind of freaks me out that my Twitter is the first thing that comes up when my name is searched on Google.

Another page that I came across was a link to The Greenwich Village French Bulldog Association website. My family has a french bulldog so when I was about 12, I insisted that we become members of this site (a little embarrassing I admit). I had to write a poem for my english class in 6th grade and I chose to write about my dog, then I proceeded to send it in to the website for publishing because I was so proud of it at the time. Since my name was on the poem, it now comes up when you search my name on Google, so if anyone wants to share in my embarrassment, you can access the poem here under "art": http://www.gvfba.com/news.htm

The last result of interest is a link to something that I did on Facebook a couple of years ago. Does anyone remember the Study Blue scam? Post links to notes, click on them and make money? Well, I was one of the suckers who believed this was true, so a link to my "work" for this scam comes up.

Other than that, nothing of interest really comes up. Links to "great dog names" websites, Church newsletters with my name in them, and other things that have nothing to do with me are the bulk of the results.
