Practicum-Carla

Yesterday, I discovered the Help Resources links, which have become an essential part of the blogging experience. In the Help Center, there are links to answer most any question you have, which I wish I would have found out about sooner, so I didn’t have to ask Danny so many silly questions. These include how managing your blog, to following other blogs, to sharing and promoting your blog. Promoting mine has been the hardest part. I was worried that because no one would be able to post on it, I would never be able to achieve “communion,” which, according to Rheingold in Watson’s article, is the human feeling that comes from communicative coordination of oneself and others. The Help Center provided information to change my settings so that everyone can comment on my blog post. However, I did have to utilize my Facebook status to send out an SOS to post to my blog, or else I would fail, to get others to write on it. The one concern I have about blogging is that because not as many people blog as they Facebook, Tweet, or use other social networking sites, it could be harder to get others to follow you regularly, as it requires them to set up an account in order for them to follow you.  I have added a lot to my blog and have made it where anyone can post comments so please everyone check it out and post away!
