Blog #6: Plants vs. Zombies

I played Plants vs. Zombies the other night in efforts to be distracted from my paper. I figured that I would just play for a little while until I lost. Still- 40 minutes later and I still hadn't lost! I really wanted to continue going as far as I could, but the paper was calling. I eventually came back later until I got as far as I could on the online demo mode. I was surprised not only by how long I played for, but the fact that I didn't lose. The game definitely was not that difficult, which is probably what helps make it so addicting. There is definitely something about wanting to keep playing a game until you reach the highest level. It also stayed interesting because there was a little strategy involved, such as where to place the plants, or what plants to use when. I definitely had fun playing Plants vs. Zombies and spent quite a long time doing so, though I don't think I'll feel the need to go back to it anytime soon. The fact that I got as far as I did makes me not feel the need to rush to play some more anytime soon.
