Blog 6: Plants vs. Zombies

Although I never play computer games, I recognize the fact that there is something extremely addicting about them. When I was younger, I was a huge fan of a computer game called Javanoid which I would play for hours upon hours. There's something about wanting to continue playing the game in order to beat the highest level that is so appealing, even after 3 hours of sitting in front of a computer screen. I had never heard of Plants vs. Zombies before this assignment, and I will say that I was entertained by what I've seen of it so far. Right now, I'm paused on the level where Crazy Dave is introduced, and I was laughing out loud at how ridiculous this character's voice sounds. Although I don't really understand the theme of the game (Plants vs. Zombies? Random), I will say it is extremely easy to use. I had no prior knowledge of the game, and I got along just fine with the cues that the game prompted me with. It's extremely user-friendly, and I happen to enjoy the calming music in between levels although it's starting to annoy me right now while my game is paused. I don't think I will return to use this game any time soon, but I definitely will keep going when I finish this post... such a good distraction!
