For this particular assignment, I watched a clip from Glee on Hulu and an interview with Connie Britton on Chelsea Lately on YouTube. I found them both equally easy to navigate and the quality on both was pretty similar. However, the quality of YouTube videos is not always as reliable when watching a TV clip, because sometimes it's really just a person video taping the television. However, this clip was on the Chelsea Lately YouTube site so it was good quality. I'm not really sure what to say about differences or similarities of these particular clips, but I think that it is important to understand that YouTube and Hulu have very different content. That said, I think that it depends on what a person is looking for when deciding which of the two sites to use.

Hulu and Youtube
First of all, I should probably point out that I use YouTube far more than I use Hulu. I use the two sites for different reasons, which I'm sure many people do, and I use Netflix as an alternative to Hulu. Generally speaking, I use Youtube for shorter forms of entertainment, such as music videos, interviews or short TV clips. If I use Hulu, it is usually because I want to watch a full show, or maybe even a series if possible (I started watching Lost on Hulu, but did not get too far). Also, I have found that Hulu more often than not does not provide full episodes that I want to watch (perhaps I don't use it enough, but this has been my experience). If there is a show that I want to watch in its entirety that isn't on the Netflix "play now" option, I will go to Hulu but like I said, I often find it doesn't always provide the shows that I watch. If this is the case, I will watch on YouTube, although full episodes are usually segmented, which can be kind of a pain.
