Practicum3 - Mike Kuerschner

So I thought I would share some of the new terms I picked up from playing online for this post. I have to say you hear some pretty terrible things online, but some of the talk is pretty funny. I have these terms in my presentation tomorrow, but I thought I could define them a little better on here.

Terms from Call of Duty:
- Nwb (noob) - a newbie, or someone who is playing like they are new. Usually meant to talk down to the user
- Camper/camping - sitting in one place, waiting for people to come to you instead of engaging with the rest of the game
- owned/pwned - killed, usually dominated in some way - way of bragging
- lagging/lagger - internet speed is too slow and caused the game to glitch
- murk - flank from behind, kill from behind

There are plenty more, but some are probably not all that appropriate to post. There is a definite language that all the users seem to share though, you definitely pick up on that right away.
