YouTube and Hulu

My YouTube videos were two recent sports highlights: a dunk by Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose and a hit by San Jose Sharks forward Joe Thornton. On Thursday, I went to the Bulls vs. Knicks game in Chicago and Rose had one of the best dunks i have ever seen live, in person. It was absolutely beautiful. I wanted to see it again when I got home, so I YouTube'ed it. Not surprisingly, there were clips from the TV broadcast, clips that had been put to music, and even montages of Rose's best dunks set to music (with this one already included). I liked the TV broadcast best because I wanted to hear how Marv Albert (a well known NBA broadcaster) called the play. It didn't disappoint.
The other video I YouTube'ed was a hit by Joe Thornton of the Sharks. The hit landed him a 2 game suspension and I had heard about the suspension, but never saw the hit. Lots of people in the hockey media had been saying it was a clean hit and he should not have been suspended. I wanted to get a look for myself. After watching, I agree with most writers in that it wasn't a dirty hit. All of the related videos were of fights, however, because there was a fight that ensued after the hit (St. Louis players stood up for their teammate). All in all, I was happy to have seen the hit that a lot of people were talking about.
Finally, on Hulu (which I do not use much at all -- I agree with a previous post that it is sometimes hard to navigate and I don't like watching TV on my computer) I watched a "Celebrity Jeopardy" skit from SNL. Recently, I've been making jokes about that Skit so I figured I'd watch it again. It never disappoints. I also enjoyed watching other Celebrity Jeopardy skits that were in the "related videos" section of the page. These two websites are extremely useful; it is hard to think what we would do without them in today's society.
