Finally, a few new things appeared since I've last looked myself up on Google. About a month ago, I participated in an Expert Invitation Mock Fantasy Football Draft for work purposes through our sister site, MockDraftCentral.com. The results of the draft show up in two separate places. What interested me the most, however, was a link to a Yahoo! Sports article that detailed our mock draft and included my name and the first few picks that I'd made during the process. I had no idea that Yahoo! Sports planned on doing a piece about the draft or that I would be included in the article. The last thing on the first page of hits was a Facebook profile that doesn't belong to me.

Google Yourself
The first thing that comes up when I Google Carly Syms is a link to an Ohio State (boo!) volleyball player with the same name. This is obviously not me, but the next couple of links all concern me. The next is a listing for the Amazon.com page for the young adult fiction book that I wrote about a year go. There is also my LinkedIn profile, Twitter account, which I rarely tweet on but am required to use for work, and links to articles that I've written for The Badger Herald.

You are right, boo Ohio State but after such a huge upset on Saturday I think we might be the ones that are getting booed at now!
