Blog 5: YouTube and Hulu
On YouTube I decided to watch a music video that I knew would return a bunch of options. Willow Smith's new song and video for "Whip My Hair" are pretty entertaining. I chose to watch the first option that came up which was the music video provided by Vevo. It started with an advertisement which is typical of Vevo, but not very typical of YouTube. You can usually watch any video without the annoying presence of an Ad, but sometimes you will come across one that does have one. On Hulu, I decided to search for one of my favorite Modern Family episodes called Fizbo. As expected, the search only came up with TV Clips rather than full episodes. I watched a behind-the-scenes TV Clip of one of the characters talking about the filming of this particular episode which was provided by abc.com. Overall, I find Hulu to have more search results that are provided by legitimate websites rather than uploaded by individuals which is often the case. I believe that on YouTube, most of the content is provided by people who like to upload videos or other media (0ften of themselves) which is often not desired by the public, while Hulu is more filtered and consists of legitimate media.
