Blog 6 - Plants vs. Zombies
Addicting is all I can say (guess my experience wasn't the same as most of you guys). I also have to admit that I played for over and hour and now my wrist it sore. I thought it was interesting that you could make your own avatar but that you never actually used your avatar. It almost seemed like creating an avatar was just like creating another enemy. The game kept my interest because as I accomplished each level a new plant was introduced. I think my favorite plant was the walnut because it kept the zombies from walking really fast allowing them to spend their time eating instead. I was able to learn during this game by reading the notes from the crazy neighbor and by using different plants in a trial and error fashion. He explained things about collecting money to buy things and that fighting zombies at night is different than fighting them during the day. Like Gee mentioned in his article, playing this game both kept my interest and allowed me to learn. Also, similar to what Gee said was that video games allow users to take risks. I would argue that this game was all about taking risks. It was important to take risks in order to figure out the best place to plant your plants so that they wouldn't eat your sun-growing plants while also protecting your house. One thing that I am still confused about is the lawn mowers. I do not know how those got there and I also still don't know what would happen if a zombie got that close to your house and there was no lawn mower left to drive them over. Overall, I guess I had a pretty fun experience and I am going to make sure I delete the download on the my computer now so that no future distractions can take place.

So I just read in more detail everyone's posts. Now I am seeing that most of you did find to game to be as addicting as I did. I guess that makes me feel a bit better about playing for so long.
