I watched the same video as Carla and Angela and while I agree with them, that I don't feel any sort of high, I do somewhat disagree with all of their interpretations of this clip. Watching this video reminded me of a series of different things and fortunately, I am not leaving this experience with a headache like the other two girls. The first feeling I had watching this movie, is that it felt surprisingly relaxing. That might however just be because it is 1:00 am and I am tired (not drinking though, I my add). The next thought I had is that it made be really want to go dancing. It reminded me of being in the clubs in Mexico this summer dancing until the early hours of the morning to techno. Once again going to reiterate that in these situations alcohol may have been involved but nothing more. The final thing this video reminded me of was looking into one of those scope prism things that you hold up to the light and twist them to see different shapes of colors moving in a circular pattern. Thought it was kinda cool but I don't plan on spending another friday night watching this video.
I also watched http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2PdyKdUC8Sw&feature+fvw which I thought was much more cool than the first one. While, once again I didn't feel a high, I can understand why they call it a hallucinogen. After staring at a pattern of lines move to some music for a couple minutes and then looking away, it appeared as though my wall was moving. It looked like the things on my shelves were getting bigger and smaller and then bigger again. I guess I could also explain it as looking at something through water where the image is distorted but you can still see what it is. I thought this was cool but sorry if my advice leaves you feeling like Carla and Angela.
