Blog 6: Plants vs. Zombies

When I went to play Plants vs. Zombies I had no idea what this game would be like. I enjoy playing online games from time to time as they help me procrastinate and kill time. This game definitely did the trick. This game, along with many other ones I find online becomes addicting due to its slow and pointless objective. The first levels were very simple, and self explanatory. I felt that I was easily carried away because I had to do little in order to advance to higher levels. But the slow speed also caused me to get bored and like I was essentially wasting my time. Online games in general are very easy to get carried away with because of the number of levels. I often feel like I have to keep playing to see how far I can get and then once I loose I feel the need to try to beat my past high score, or level. This games theme was a bit obscure but like "Insane Aquarium", or "gold Miner", two other games I find myself sitting on the internet for up to an hour or so for, the goals were unlocking new features and seeing how they can help you in the higher levels. At the end of the day I probably will not play this game again because of its monotony and pointless goals but it did do a good job as an addicting and time consuming game.

  1. I agree that the game was just too slow. I did enjoying seeing how the new plants would help me, but that doesn't really lead to replay value. This is certainly I one time game
