To personalize my personal homepage, I used some html codes to decorate my home page. first I made a simple flash to outstand my homepage’s name “Dress My Life”. And then differ from the traditional personal homepage, I placed the long boring welcome paragraph on one side. when I visit some tradition personal homepages, they probably have a long welcome paragraph placed on the middle of the home page, like “welcome, my name is XXX, I am such such, and this is the page for such such.” And then they will provide many links or paragraphs to talk about themselves. Honestly, if I see a page which is full of words and links, I will probably close it right away unless I do some research. In order to be attractive, I just simplify the welcome paragraph as “Love trend? Wanna know more street fashion info? Here is the right place”, and then I created a special page blog picture. Like the picture shows, I add the music on the top. The singer is a hipster and has his own fashion brand, whose music fit my homepage well. Under the music there are images of different brand’s classical produces. I believe the images will be more “powerful” then the words to express what kind of homepage I am creating.
