PRacticum #6

I think I have winded down the UW Madison wiki portion of my research because I do not feel like I have gotten anywhere with it. I enjoyed setting up the page and it would probably be interesting if I had more than a classroom interest in it. One of the things that I have discovered that is very cool is that I could copy and paste information directly from wisc.edu. For example, I copied the list of majors here and they are hyperlinked so people can access wisc.edu directly from the wiki site. I think that I would want to put more effort into this site if other people were participating or even if I thought that they were looking at it (which I do not think is happening). I am not really sure how the more popular wiki sites get the word out there, but I am sure that it takes more than one semester. For the remainder of my practicum, I will spend it on Wikipedia and perhaps Wiscopedia, which seemed pretty interesting.
