History of the Internet
What I found most interesting about this video and the history of the internet overall is how history and current events (of the time) played a major role in the development of the internet. I agree with previous posts -- I did not know that the history of the internet could be traced back to the 1950s. I found it very interesting to learn that current events, such as Sputnik and the US's relations with Cuba, played a major role in the development of the internet. This however is very logical; of course we would want a way to communicate and transfer information quickly in the event of a national disaster. I am fascinated by our country's history but this topic is one that was never taught to me nor was it something I ever took a lot of time to think about. Again agreeing with previous posts, the internet is something we totally take for granted. It is interesting to see the progression its development went through and how closely tied it is with the current events of our country. Finally, the video was also clear and pretty easy to understand -- I liked that about the video as well!
