Google

As, I suspected, googling myself didn’t yield many interesting results. I’m from Milwaukee, and I know there is a weather host there named Tom Carr. All my life, when I met new people, they asked me if I was related to the weatherman. I’m not, but I still expected to see his name since he is somewhat of a local celebrity. I assumed his celebrity status would at least warrant a few pages about him. I actually didn’t see any sites about Tom Carr the weatherman or myself. Top sites for my name included: a florist, an audio engineer, a city attorney’s page, and a Michigan State Psychology page. Towards the bottom of the page, I saw a link for Facebook. That wasn’t a link for my page either! Looking through the results for my name, there were very few repeats. One of the attorneys had a few articles about him, but basically, all the results had no connection to each other. This was an interesting topic to blog about. My roommates and I had just discussed the fact that we’ve done nothing noteworthy by age 21. Maybe this will inspire me to do something interesting with my life!
