So for some reason my first post never actually posted, so you are going to get 2 from me here tonight. I started playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 for this project. My two roommates are really into it, so I figured they would be a good help with this. I created a new user "wookiewomp42" (my band's name is wook... and I am terrible at creating original usernames), and was immediately granted access to the lobby, no training necessary! This proved to be somewhat of a downfall, however. In the lobby you can choose weapon sets which is about the only customization you are allowed until you "rank up." You can also choose which kind of game you would like to play online. I chose team deathmatch, which is a simple two team game where the object is to rack up the most kills for your team. As soon as you select to join that lobby, the game searches out people for you to play with. I thought this would be based on rank, and being a newbie I figured I would get into a easier game. I was way wrong. The game is very fast paced and doesn't really allow for users to get used to the controls or searching people out. The levels you can play on are very interactive, so people tend to be hiding around every corner. Needless to say I got worked over pretty well, only recording two kills and getting killed twelve times. My roommates laughed and said that the more you play the more used to everything you get. Hopefully this is the case!
