Blog #7: Computerized Devices
Tonight, my evening consisted of basically all computerized devices. I think I spent the entire evening on my laptop. On here, I used a few different programs at once. I was using the internet (and I had a few different pages up, including email, random browsings, Facebook, homework research, and whatever else), Skype, iTunes, Word, all up at once. I would do a little bit of my homework, and then check Facebook or chat on skype for a few minutes. At the same time, I was texting some friends every few minutes as well. At one point I had Netflix up and was watching a movie too. I've even found that lately I'm so used to watching all of my TV on my laptop, that now given the option I just naturally watch it on my laptop anyways. Of course, all this time that I was doing these things, I was still sitting with my roommates (who had their laptops and phones out as well) and we had the TV on in the room that we were slightly paying attention to. Basically, my life is run by my computerized devices. I get frustrated when one of them is not working well or something happens to them, and I probably rely on them a little too much. I use them for personal use, work, schoolwork, and basically all areas of my life.
