Blog 7: Computerized Interactions
Most of my computerized interactions are based on Safari, iChat, and my Blackberry phone. As I tracked what I did tonight, I noticed that I interacted with these three things at the same time. At any given moment, I could be seen on Facebook while simultaneously talking to someone on iChat, while answering a text message on my Blackberry. In addition, I was also on many websites at the same time, including online shopping websites, my bank website, and the most annoying of them all, uwbadgers.com trying to get Rose Bowl tickets (which by the way was a success!). Also, while doing all of these other things, I would open up my e-mail program every time my computer notified me that I had a new e-mail. It's interesting to see how much I multitask when it comes to computerized devices. I think it's specifically our generation that is so good at this because I know for a fact that people like my Mom aren't even aware that you can have two internet windows open at the same time.... After I finish this Blog post, I'll be off to interact with yet another computerized device, my DVR. With this, I'll be interacting with 3 major computerized devices, with many subcategories under those.
