Practicum #4-Nicole

I have been really successful the last few days on SupportGroups.com. First, I have been very active in a few different conversations. Most are dealing with working out and training for marathon, but other users are responding to my posts. I'm starting great conversations with them. Second, I gained my first friend on SupportGroups.com. This girl has run a half-marathon, and she was able to give me some great tips for training. It's nice to talk with someone who has had experience with the whole process. Third, I was able to give some very helpful advice to another user about losing a loved one. Just some quick background. I grew up above a funeral home for a majority of my life, and my entire family is involved in funeral services. Needless to say, I have some experience with the matter. Anyways, the other user, onecent, lost her sister less than 2 weeks ago. She feel pressured to move on. I gave her some advice, and my advice was endorsed by another very experience user. She has earned the points of a 'Support Guru'. That is the highest honor you can earn. It felt pretty rewarding to know that I was able to give some worthwhile advice, and hopefully, I can support the other user, onecent, get through this hard time.
